Mission Statement
Fresno Southeast Property Owners (SEPO) is a grassroots coalition of residents from Southeast Fresno who, have organized to confront city planners, developers and representatives with our concerns over the city of Fresno’s Southeast Development Area (SEDA) plan. We aim to PROTECT our property, DEFEND our community and PRESERVE our rural way of life from city annexations, eminent domain, home and land devaluation, and other encroachments to our county land.
If you align with our statment above, we invite you to sign our petition.
What We Do
Organize Opposition
We encouraged people to wear red to the city's three "drop-in" events where the public was invited to comment on the EIR. City reps were not prepared for the turnout at these events and most of our questions went unanswered.
Inform Property Owners
In an effort to get the word out, we have designed and posted banners throughout the SEDA area, sent out nearly 1000 flyers to property owners, participated in media interviews and gathered petition signatures.
Hold Meetings
Our core group has been meeting regularly since July 2, 2022 and hold regular "general meetings" for the wider public to attend.
Confront Representatives
Our SEPO group has appeared twice before the City Council, met individually with Fresno County Supervisors to ask for their assistance and addressed our specific concerns at two separate County Board of Suppervisor public meetings.
